"Women are like teabags. We don't know our true strength until we are in hot water." ?

best pun ever
A friend of mine is reading "Walden", but she is tricking herself into thinking it is already summer by enjoying a beer at the same time.
So I told her (via gmail IM-best ever) to "Thoreau-ly enjoy her beer".
God. I am hilarious.

end of semester freakout!
Hello everyone. I hope your tuesday is going well. I am in the middle of a nervous breakdown, myself. I should be working on this durned take home test but I am so stressed out I can't do anything about it. Do you ever just sit in front of your computer working on one measly paragraph when you look up and realize three hours have just gone by? me, too.

I am not pregnant.
Hooray. But I am having a very weird craving. I am having a craving for the aural version of ice cream and pickles....
wait for it.
I wonder if pregnant women crave unusual things that are not food. I wonder if they crave the feeling of chenille and olive oil. I wonder if they crave the sound of crinkled up wax paper. I wonder if they crave the smell of Old Spice.
Right now, I really want to listen to ENYA.
enya. yeah, that's right.
freakin' enya. sheesh.

new blog!
Hey all.
I know it's currently chic to abandon your blog in favor of a new one, but I'm not going anywhere, even if I do have a new blog.
here it is: http://dexandstanley.blogspot.com/
It's for my (soon-to-be) nephew's school project. He sent me a paper boy (named Flat Stanley) in the mail and P and I get to take him on adventures. I thought he might get a kick out of checking up on him. He's not due back at Dex's school until mid-May, so this way he can take a peek at his adventures.
I hope you all enjoy them, too. Just bear in mind that the posts were written for a first grader.

Flat Stanley and me.

With marriage comes many perks. One of them is you get to have a niece and nephew and none of your younger sisters have to get knocked up.
Fiance's nephew D is in the first grade and he sent us a twelve-inch paper boy named Flat Stanley that we need to take on an adventure. We're supposed to take pictures of Flat Stanley doing cool things and then send them back to him at school with souvenirs, etc.
Today I took Flat Stanley to the Museum of Life and Science. Here are some highlights:

Flat Stanley lives for danger.
